- OBJECTIFS
The "Interdisciplinary Studies in English Language Culture & Literature" MA program is designed for graduate students who wish to continue their intellectual development and broaden their education within an interdisciplinary framework covering various areas in linguistics, literature and culture. Of equal importance, students will develop the power and language skills necessary to help them with their career goals.
Some of the objectives of this program are :
- Students will study a wide range of texts and a complex body of theories and concepts, related to language, linguistics, Moroccan and world literature, translation, culture, art, and the digital world.
- Graduates of this postgraduate course will be highly qualified to advance in doctoral research programs.
- The master’s program creates the space to analyze issues of both a linguistic and a literary nature and to deal with cultural challenges and opportunities in more detail.
- Students will broaden their knowledge about Moroccan-American cultural relations.
- The course responds to an increasing need for multi-skilled individuals who can put academic knowledge, critical thinking, cultural awareness, leadership, and digital and language skills to work in public and private sectors.

- Fundamental knowledge of such broad disciplines as linguistics, translation, literature and culture.
- Specific knowledge of issues in particular areas of study such as semantics, sociolinguistics, English-Arabic translation, media studies, gender narratives, literary criticism, Moroccan culture and art, etc.
- A grasp of how language is used in literature, media, art and related cultural productions to forge meanings and form identities.
- Identification of various disciplinary arguments, trends, traditions and debates within the knowledge community of linguistic, literary and cultural studies scholars.
- A solid grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of translation.
- Basic knowledge about the theories, methods and tools to explore the new ways of being in the digital age within the context of the humanities.
